The shortlist
Voices tested so far
Every voice reads the same scripts with default settings. Samples are being added; trust your ears over my notes.
I'm still testing voices for this. In the meantime, every voice tested so far is on the voices page. See all tested voices →

Extra care when the audience is kids
Parents decide whether your stories stay in the bedtime rotation.
01
Warmth over drama
Gentle, friendly reads work better at bedtime than big character performances.
02
Clear words
Young listeners are still learning words, so check pronunciation and pacing on every line.
03
Original voices only
Never imitate a real person or a well-known character. Voice Design can create an original character voice from a written description.
Questions
Do I need to mark videos as made for kids?
YouTube asks every creator to say whether a video is made for kids, and that choice changes which features the video gets. Check YouTube’s current guidance before you upload.
Can each character have its own voice?
Yes. ElevenLabs has an official tutorial on giving every character in a book its own voice, using its audiobook tools in Studio.
Should I tell parents the voice is AI?
Yes. A line in the description is enough, and it builds trust with the people choosing what their kids hear.
